A special experience is a visit of the palaces and gardens in Potsdam, 25 km southwest of Berlin In Sanssouci Palace and palace gardens you will detect the spirit of rococo lifestyle, and at Cecilienhof, the last palace constructed by the Hohenzollern family, you will see the table of the Potsdam Conference in July 1945
After the visit of the palaces a stroll though the Dutch quarter may be nice, which was built in 18th century for Dutch artisans and is reconstructed today giving room for several boutiques and restaurants. You will see the Russian colony Alexandrowka as well, military barracks characteristic for the military history of Potsdam and also the beautiful villas and manors from 18th and 19th century for the court people and high government employees.
We can take the ship to go back to Berlin and enjoy the pittoresque landscape of lakes, rivers and riverbanks, which already seduced the Prussian kings to choose this area for the construction of their palaces and pleasure gardens.
